Power of attorney to dispose of deceased brother's motorbike and other posessions

My brother died in November 2015. I am initiating probate in the US. He also rented a home in Thailand, where he had a motorbike and various household possessions. How to I give a power of attorney to someone in Thailand to dispose of his motorbike and possessions, ship various things back to the USA, etc.?

There are special forms at the transportation department. It is NOT any special power of attorney. Not only that, when you transfer a motorcycle, they want to inspect it and see it. In your case, the owner, your brother, is deceased. He can't give a power of attorney. So what you need is a court order, that you are appointed executor for this case. The transportation department, just like the land department and most authorities in Thailand will require a Court order. To get it in Thailand will take about 3 months and will unfreeze also his bank accounts and others.
